whoops…it’s been two weeks since I last posted and I’m a little annoyed at myself!
I was doing so well keep fairly on top of all this blogging malarkey only to be thwarted by a week of partying, losing my phone, bank card and my pride in Gili T, and a 4 day/4 night boat trip around East Indonesia to swim with Manta Rays, watch dolphins swim alongside our boat, hunt for a glimpse of the infamous cannibal Komodo Dragons, and swim to a deserted red sand beach with views to die for.
I’ve now landed in Flores only to catch a flight back to Bali this afternoon to see a little bit more of the 3rd island in SEA that I’m slowly falling in love with (Gili T & Koh Rong being my firm favourites!)…so my huge apologies for being MIA.
Therefore I have a quite a lot of good photos I’d love to share, but to keep this post tight I’ll pick my best from each destination since my last POTW!
Actually this is a bit of a lie as I didn’t really like Kuala Lumpar that much. I found it to be a bit too ‘try hard’. Trying to compete with Singapore but failing a tad. It had all the dirt of an Asian city but with random clean shopping malls and it didn’t really mesh well. I liked this photo though!! haha
These towers were breathtaking. I couldn’t stop staring at them! On a side note, don’t bother going up the sky tower to get a better view of them as you don’t get the right angle….such a waste of money!
I didn’t think I would like Singapore but I loved it! far too expensive to stay for more than a few nights but it was so cool seeing all the sights. Singapore is the future…it’s like being in the Truman Show. Did you know there are no mosquitos in Singapore? They fumigate or something every month so they aren’t any
Another from Singapore just because I loved it so much. The Gardens by the Bay are a sight to be behold…just look! It’s like Avatar!
Gili Trawanagan ( AKA Gili T) is by far my favourite place in Southeast Asia. It has everything…paradise beaches, gorgeous sunsets, view of mount Rinjani (pictured here), the best social scene, no motor vehicles and just a general awesome vibe. YOU HAVE TO GO!!!!
I’ll save some more of the awesome photos of Gili for next weeks edition of Photo of the Week as I don’t want to overload you!
As always please let me know your favourite in the comments below…I love to hear from you all xx
